Here is what we selected to have put in our new house: black wood floors for the living room/dining room (bottom). Reddish brown tile (left) for the kitchen, hall ways, bathrooms. Maple cabinets (top). Fluffy carpet with colored specs in it (Right). Black granite countertops for the kitchen (center). It took lots of hours to deliberate over these decisions, but we happy with our choices and can't wait to see the finished product!
