And the winner is...

So the girls won out the poll (9 to 8), and I guess they were right because today we found out that we're having a girl. We're both very excited and I'm sure we'll be decorating with lots of pink!
We joked a little while ago when Jenni woke up puking in the middle of the night because she was "sleeping on the wrong side" that our little drama queen was already making her wishes known, but the interesting part of the story is that a few weeks ago the doctor couldn't find the heart beat during the checkup so he did an ultrasound. When the image first came up, Jenni commented that it "looked like a girl" and she's been convinced ever since. It was also funny to see the little bugger kicking at the ultrasound (which the doctor said was why he couldn't find the heart beat), so I'm expecting that this baby will have a little more "spunk" than Charlie's clam personality.
Unfortunately, they didn't let us record it this time and the tech didn't take very many pictures, so this is the best shot we have. One other funny story is that even though Charlie is basically oblivious to how his whole world is about to change, he loves looking at the ultrasound pictures and carries them around giving them kisses and saying "baby". He actually already lost the pictures from the last ultrasound somwhere in the house beccause he was playing with them so much and we lost track of them. To further illustrate how little he understand what's going on, Jenni said that today he kept walking around, pointing to his belly, and saying "sis-er". I guess he doesn't realize yet that what "sister" really means and I'm sure it's going to blow the little guys mind when we finally bring home a baby and it stays here with us. It might even be a bit shocking for me and Jenni, so can you really blame him?
