Artwork and more...

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie....what a week we had.  So, my friend posted a while ago about her daughter doing something similar in her house on her walls.  I took it as my warning to put all the markers and such out of reach.  I just forgot about that one eensy weensy blue sharpie that I leave in the kitchen junk drawer.  Not pictured is the rest of the artwork on the tile and the dishwasher.  Where was I, you ask?  Well, I was right here in the family room.  I could hear Charlie playing in the kitchen but knew the chemicals were locked up, and the knives out of reach -so I just listened as he "played."  I immediately sprang up when I heard the words "Mommy, color."  It was too late.

Also of note - Charlie flushed a large plastic lego wheel down the toilet that week too.  That was a $69 plumber bill which I will make him pay for when he is older. :)  And, he dumped out probably half the box of laundry detergent on Friday too.  He has been learning the word "naughty."  I don't think it has sunk in yet.

But, within all that, we still love him to pieces.  I just want this to be recorded for him to read when he is older.  Maybe by then I'll be laughing this off.  For now, I just can't believe there is another one coming.

So...... do you consider an elastic band a "lock" on the drawer!? I might consider installing something a little more permanent if I were you! That may keep him out now, but if he is starting in to his "naughty" stage, he will find a way to take that elastic off! You've been warned....... ha ha.

haha, well the one side has a child lock inside the cupboard - but the other side fell off last week so - hence the rubberband for now. But, yes - I've been warned!

And - the rubberband was on SUPER tight - so I doubt he could've figured it out quite yet.

You go Super C! There are few things a rag soaked in acetone or a fresh coat of paint won't take out. :-)

I know how you feel Jenni! The cool thing is--the new baby can't get into trouble for a while. It's kind of nice.

Such a good look on his face! His "fun" while your not looking will never end...
