More Pool Time as a Family! 36 Weeks Prego!

Isn't Charlie so cute in his little baseball cap? Well, I should say full sized cap - he wears regular baseball caps to accommodate his beautiful and large head - which is in proportion to the rest of his body.
I insisted we take one family picture with Charlie while we were at the pool yesterday. It might be the last one before the baby girl gets here!  Feeling brave - posting pictures of myself in a bathing suit as pregnant as I am, but I want to document this possibly last picture with just our little boy.

This is me 36 weeks 2 days pregnant (the day I had Charlie in my last pregnancy). She is quite cozy though and I think she wants to stay in a bit longer which is fine with me because I am enjoying sleeping all night long without a newborn to feed. :) She has definitely dropped as she feels MUCH lower to me. Making lots of trips to the restroom lately... Last week at the doctor they said I was dilated to a 1 and 30% effaced (whoop dee doo). The doctor could feel her head and told me she was in the right position to come out, which is great. I keep worrying that she is going to be too big to deliver. Charlie was 7.12 four weeks early. I've asked the doctor how I'm measuring (which is really so stupid - how do they really know how big the baby REALLY is!!). He has told me that I am measuring normal. I've told him my concerns about a large baby and he has assured me he will let me know if she seems to be getting too big to fast. I just worry because with Charlie they said I measured normally too and when he was born the FIRST thing the doctor said was "Wow this is a huge baby! (For his gestational age)." Again proving my point that they didn't know what size my baby was when it was inside. Charlie would have been a ten pounder! For that reason, I sometimes feel really anxious about wanting her to come much sooner than my due date. Atleast I'll be full term this week and there won't be any worries if she comes then.
Anyway - my appointments are now weekly -so I go back on Wednesday for my 37 week check up. This baby girl is so much more active in there than I remember Charlie being. Last week I was sitting on the couch (belly exposed) and from across the room Dave could see her pushing and moving on the sides of my belly! I had been telling him that she was moving a lot if he'd like to come over and feel it. He was kind of ignoring me (probably because he hears me say this a lot) but when he finally looked over and caught a glimpse of the action - he said surprised, "Was that HER?!" It's hard to describe - but if you have been pregnant before you know what I am talking about when I say she doesn't really "kick" anymore... it's more "movements." Like she scrapes across the inside of my belly from one side to the other. Or, sometimes it feels like she is pushing with all her might on one side trying to find an exit... maybe? Eventually she will figure out how to truly exit and we can meet this wiggle worm in real life. I think I should be preparing for an active child.

I totally know the feeling :) You look fantastic. I would post preggo pics of myself in a swim suit if I looked as good as you!

I know what you mean! Caylee was more active than Cambree, which is pretty true to who they are. She might be a little fireball! ;) Can't wait to hear your delivery story!

You look really great. I don't even dare take a picture of me in a swim suit when I'm not pregnant, but you can totally work it, sister! As far as having a big baby, here's some food for thought: Adie weighed 6 lbs 10 oz at birth and I got one nasty tear, the worst you can get (Sorry TMI), but Brett weighed 10.5 lbs when he was born and he was by far the easiest of his mother's 5 labors. So, size doesn't necessarily determine how easy / hard your labor and recovery will be. Hopefully, that can help you not stress about it so much. I think there are a lot of factors that determine how a delivery goes. Good luck!

I am excited for her to get here! I want to see what she looks like. You're going to be such a great "girl mom." I'm so happy for you Jenni! And you look really good! I'm not just saying that to be nice, you really do look great! At 36 weeks, I looked like a contestant on the Biggest Loser.

Tore with Lincoln, didn't tear with Knox and he was bigger than Lincoln. Your body knows what to do this time. Relax and take things as they come. No use putting yourself through the stress!

It's a girl though... Boys are usually bigger than girls and Charlie is a big boy. I think you'll be fine. But I think you should start running now, with as active as you make her sound she'll be off and running when she gets out.
