Johansen Family

Monday was April 23rd and Charlie turned 4 years old!  He woke up super happy.  Dave and I blew up a bunch of red balloons the night before and put them in his room while he was asleep.  He was so excited to see them in the morning.  As soon as he woke up, we had a few presents for him to open.  He got a Batman monster truck, a monster truck golden book, and a sticker book from Dave and I.  He also opened his most desired gift from Grandma and Grandpa Johansen - a remote control monster truck! It was red which made it even better!

 

That afternoon we had a fun pool party at the clubhouse.  Charlie had lots of friends come including his cousins and Aunt Mindy.  We had fun swimming for a while.  The weather was great!

Mindy and I bought Cora and Jill matching bathing suits and they look so cute!  Jill wasn't a fan of taking the picture though, li'l stinker!  They are super cute girl cousins!

After swimming, we headed over to the train play area to dry off and have some snacks and cupcakes.  We filled up about 8 tables!

Carter and Wyatt were great present opening helpers.  Charlie said the favorite part of his whole day was opening presents.  He was one happy boy and certainly spoiled by all of his friends who came!  He got lots of very nice and generous gifts!

We rounded out the evening by coming home and enjoying a nice visit from Charlie's BFF Payson (who couldn't make it to the party).  He brought Charlie some silly string and they had a blast staying up late and playing.  In all, we had one very tired 4 year old boy at day's end.  Charlie sure is growin' up!  He's already telling me that next year he'll be 5 and that then he's going to kindergarten.  Yikes!  I need to start preparing myself for that!  We sure love our little guy a lot and are grateful he's a part of our family.
