The Happiest Place on Earth

So in addition to going to Sea World during the weekend of Lindsay's Wedding, we also went to Disneyland and California Adventure.

During the day in Disneyland, we were joined by Kenny, Kristy, Lynn, Judy, and Chad, so we had plenty of hands to help out with Charlie and had a great time. Kenny made sure to coordinate efficient use of the Fast Pass, so we were also able to hit all of the big rides and have a great time thanks to all of the help. My favorite picture was the one of Kenny wearing Charlie's ears while holding him. Classic.

We also took Charlie on Pirates as soon as we got to the park, and it was far from his favorite thing to do. All of the loud noises in the dark freaked him out and he was clinging to Jenni and me for dear life during most of the ride, but he survived. We made it up to him and took him on It's a Small World and the Submarine ride, which he absolutely loved.

You can check out the rest of the pictures from Disneyland on PWA or Facebook.

In complete contrast to the perfect weather we had the day before, it was raining for the first hour or so that we were at California Adventure. Jenni and Grandma Lynn made Charlie a makeshift poncho out of a shopping bag and we just jumped from ride to ride to stay out of the rain. Because of the rain, we ended up having to sit through some Disney Live show that even Charlie was bored with, but then it cleared up and we had some fun. Charlie finally hit his limit in the mid afternoon and had a melt down, but he was a perfect little guy the rest of the time and it was fun to experience the park with the little guy. We're looking forward to taking him back when he can enjoy it even more.

I am glad you guys had fun in Disneyland. Thanks for posting pictures to rub it in that you got to go to Disneyland and I didn't. No big deal. I am over it. Sort of.

Man, you guys know how to have fun! And you don't let having a baby slow you down - that's great. I need to be more like that.
