Something I would do

Last night we went to friend's house for cake and ice cream to celebrate a birthday. Long after the cake was cut, I was talking to some friends when I realized I couldn't find Charlie. That's when I noticed he was in the dining room all by himself sitting at the table eating. He had helped himself to a lone piece of cake and ice cream left on the table by another child.

How could I be upset? He is being very polite, being as tidy as a 1 year old can - even using a fork while sitting at the table. When he was finished he got up from the table and walked to the trash can to throw his fork away. He couldn't figure the lid out on the trash can and so he decided to lay his fork on the ground right next to it and went on his merry way. Ain't no thang!

Did I mention we had already given him cake earlier in the party? This kid has got one heck of a sweet tooth.
